You're covered from coast to coast. You can have your vehicle service performed anywhere in Canada or the continental United States. Driven Cars Canada has first right of refusal and will control the process of who will supply the parts and components as well as where the work will be performed. In some cases, the vehicle may be required to be transported to a Driven Cars Canada facility or a facility as dictated by Driven Cars Canada. 

No. The warranty stays with the owner for the duration they own the vehicle.

Claims are sent to, and work performed at the Driven Cars Canada Service center or at a location preapproved by Driven Cars Canada.

Claims are limited to the value of the vehicle, as determined by market value at time of claim.

Yes. Diesel, Electric & Hybrid Engines as well European manufactures regardless of the origins of where the vehicle was manufactured or assembled are excluded from the program. Examples of some of the brands excluded from the program are listed here.

Free Limited Warranty Coverage

The free powertrain replacement warranty is limited to these listed parts and these conditions:


If a transmission cannot be repaired, we will replace it with a  used transmission of equal or close to milage to the best of our ability and or with a rebuilt. If repairs are possible, you are responsible to pay for those repairs.


When an engine cannot be repaired, we will replace it. If an engine cannot be repaired, we will replace it with a used engine of equal milage to the best of our ability and or with a rebuilt. If repairs are possible, you are responsible to pay for those repairs.

Transfer Unit

When a Transfer Unit cannot be repaired, we will replace it. If a transmission cannot be repaired, we will replace it with a used transfer unit of equal milage to the best of our ability and or with a rebuilt. If repairs are possible, you are responsible to pay for those repairs.

Drive Axles

When an Drive Axles Unit cannot be repaired, we will replace it. If a drive axles cannot be repaired, we will replace it with a used drive axle of equal milage to the best of our ability and or with a rebuilt. If repairs are possible, you are responsible to pay for those repairs.

Because of the maintenance guidelines, you will be taking precautions that not everyone does, that can make a huge difference in your vehicle's performance. Rest easy knowing you are protected. 

How do I keep my Lifetime Warranty valid?

There are only seven things you must do to keep your lifetime warranty valid.

Your Responsibilities:

To obtain the benefits provided under this limited warranty, it is the responsibility of the Vehicle Purchaser named in the contract to:

  1. Assure that the engine oil and filter are changed with Synthetic Oil at minimum every six (6) months or 10,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first, and maintain all purchase/service receipts evidencing the engine has been serviced. In addition, maintain your vehicle according to the manufacturer's recommendations as outlined in the owner's manual. NOTE: Your owner's manual has separate required maintenance schedules for "normal" and "more severe" operating conditions. Follow the maintenance schedule that applies to Your Conditions. In the case of repair and claim and Driven Cars Canada needs to be replaced by an alternate repair facility, contact Driven Cars Canada for review and approval. 
  2. Have a powertrain inspection performed by Driven Cars Canada once every three (3) years. This inspection must be made within sixty (60) days of each 3-year anniversary of the warranty start date shown on your contract. If this is not possible, you must submit all maintenance records for review and acceptance by Driven Cars Canada following the same schedule as indicated on the contract. Failure to do so will void this Limited Warranty.
  3. Replace leaking engine/powertrain or coolant seals and gaskets that relate to the protection of the engine/powertrain from lubricant loss or overheating. 
  4.  Maintain all powertrain components as issues arise and according to the manufacturers owner’s manual. If an issue is diagnosed it must be repaired at owner’s expense at that point in time, or it will void the vehicles warranty. 
  5.  Not abuse the vehicle. Damage caused by abuse and neglect will void the vehicles warranty. 
  6.  Modifications to the vehicle will void with warranty. For example, modifications like, but not limited to, lift kits, engine performance modifications will void the warranty. Be safe and get written permission before making any such modifications to your vehicle. 

    7. Do not use your vehicle for commercial purposes and or racing activities.
